(3) Ca-Si alloy is used as deoxidizing desulfurizer and inoculant in cast iron production. Silica-calcium alloy can improve the performance of cast iron more effectively than ferrosilicon. Silica-calcium alloy can deoxidize, deoxidize and increase silicon in cast iron, and it is an effective inoculant to promote the formation of spherical graphite.
